The National Cyber Security Authority, with the support of OSCE Presence in Albania, organized a workshop focusing on the inclusion and empowerment of women and girls in the field of cyber security. This event provided an important space for sharing experiences and challenges, while also creating opportunities for developing practical skills in this field.
In his speech, the Director of NCSA, Mr. Igli Tafa emphasized that encouraging the presence of women in cyber security is a national mission. He emphasized the importance of orienting girls from an early age towards careers in this field, continuing with their support in secondary schools and universities. Mr. Tafa added that women have an irreplaceable role, as they bring a broad perspective and a more comprehensive approach to cyber security, contributing to solving challenges that go beyond the technical aspect.
During the workshop, a panel discussion was also held with successful women in this field, who shared their stories and offered role models of inspiration for the participating girls and women. Also, the participants had the opportunity to take part in a cyber drill, exercising their practical skills in real cyber security scenarios.
